At Constant Power Services we offer a complete delivery service including offloading and positioning of equipment in the room as well as a full battery build including all DC interconnecting links. This service can be provided during normal working hours or out of hours to suit your specific requirements, with commissioning being carried out during the same day for smaller systems and on a return visit for larger systems.

Typically, any CPS proposal from 10kVA upwards would include the above services, therefore please note that it is possible that other vendors may only allow a kerbside delivery and impose additional costs at a later stage.

In most cases we assume easy access with the use of a suitable goods lift should this be required, however special requirements such as stairwalking and cranage can also be accommodated. Please ensure that this is discussed at the quotation stage wherever possible as we may require a site visit to provide accurate costings.

If our External Maintenance Bypass panel is purchased we can usually supply this to site within one week to allow the AC cabling works to be completed prior to the delivery of the UPS system. Alternatively, you can leave everything to us and let CPS cater for any associated cabling works, however please ensure that this is discussed at the quotation stage as site surveys are a neccesity when cabling works are required.

Longer runtimes or larger rated systems usually require an external battery system and providing the battery is adjacent to the UPS module and the rating does not exceed 30kVA we will include the main DC connection as part of our standard delivery. DC connections on remote batteries or systems larger than 30kVA will be offered as additional works or assumed by others.

Certified Electrical Installation
Due to the close working relationships we have with several members of the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) and various other associations, we can offer certified installation of all our equipment, or simply supervise final connections following delivery and positioning. Our electrical engineers have undertaken many large projects for CPS incorporating combined UPS and generator installations complete with all the necessary switchgear and distribution panels for both new and existing systems.

Factory Witness Testing and Onsite Load Bank Testing
Witness testing can be arranged either at our premises in Hitchin, Hertfordshire or at our Italian manufacturing plant. This would be based on our standard UPS demonstration and operation training. On site load bank testing and specialised testing can also be accomodated. more>

Client Demonstration and Training
 CPS can train your personnel in the operation and routine maintenance of UPS and battery systems including the proper procedures to adopt in the unlikely event of a system malfunction. The CPS training program is used for our own staff and can be adapted to suit distributors, customers and overseas engineers. Basic training is generally conducted during or following commissioning and can be accommodated at our factory or on site.

Removal and Disposal Services
CPS are Environment Agency registered waste producers and carriers, and comply with all European WEEE and ROHS directives. This compliance allows us to offer removal and disposal services in relation to equipment upgrades or relocation of existing. Please refer to our accreditatons page for more details.

Battery Replacements and Upgrades
CPS can undertake replacement battery installations based on a "like for like" exchange or a load specific battery calculated to be more cost effective or to make better use of available floor space. In the present economic climate where lead price is very volitile this re-calculation and careful selection is even more important. CPS have close working reltionships with several battery suppliers and can source virtually any battery block.

Battery upgrades and replacements can utilise existing racks and cubicles or alternatively we can supply new. We ensure that all old batteries are removed from site and safely disposed of to the relevent regulations.
