The decision to purchase and install an Uninterruptible Power Supply from CPS shows your commitment to business continuity and the peace of mind that reliable power can provide, is well worth maintaining. Like any sophisticated equipment, a UPS system will only continue to perform perfectly with a programme of regular maintenance. By subscribing to all-inclusive service agreement you can eliminate small problems that can eventually lead to major catastrophes.

CPS engineers have experience of selling and servicing UPS for over 30 years and can therefore offer you and your client the best possible support for our UPS equipment. We have a network of engineers covering the UK, including Scotland and Ireland, providing round the clock contracts all inclusive of parts and labour, both during and after the warranty period.

Maintenance generally falls into two main categories, preventative and remedial. These are both carefully
planned into service contracts offered by CPS. A modest annual investment can ensure that you UPS system is maintained regularly to guarantee optimum performance and ensure availability when it is needed. Agreements from CPS can often be adapted to suit specific customer requirements in respect of response times and the need to carry out preventative maintenance at pre-arranged dates and times when customer loads are less critical.

UPS Network Monitoring 		Spares Support
One of most important parts of any service programme is to have spare parts readily available, whether or not
the equipment is still under warranty. CPS stock an extensive range of spares and complete UPS units at our factory in Hitchin. Our fully trained engineers always carry emergency kits covering PCB’s, semiconductor and consumable components whenever they visit site ensuring a high repair rate and avoiding return visits.

Third Party Support?
As a dedicated organisation, all CPS engineers concentrate primarily on support of our own products, since we recognise the fact that the best and most reliable service of any equipment is only available from the manufacturer or accredited distributors. Third party maintenance organisations can rarely offer the level of support necessary for such sophisticated equipment and almost certainly, factory tested spare parts will not be stock items.
 
Battery Care and Maintenance
Although not officially classed as spares, the batteries are as important as the UPS they support. All batteries have a life expectancy specified by the manufacturer, usually 5 to 10 years in the case of ‘sealed maintenance free’ cells. Unfortunately, the ‘design life’ of a battery cannot be guaranteed and relies on several factors, including environment, temperature, maintenance, number of discharge cycles, charging regime etc.

CPS can monitor your battery installation physically and from office records to ensure that the risk of premature failure is negligible. Replacement battery systems can be supplied without any delay and are sized accordingly
to the most recent system requirements.
 

Generator Agreements
At CPS we can offer generator maintenance packages to suit your application whether its a prime rated machine completeting thousannds of hours or a
standby set used for power failiures and emergencies only. 24-7 emergency
callout and refuelling facilities can also be incoporated into agreements to ensure your set is always available.
