Selecting
the correct equipment can be made easier by enlisting the help and
guidance of qualified engineers at CPS. Engineers are available to
offer pre-sales and after-sales supprt and advise to ensure that the
correct system is selected to suit your specific application and budget.
You can be assured that all aspects including battery type, autonomy,
cable sizing, floor loading, site location, access and environmental
limitations will be carefully considered.

Specific Surveys
Our project engineers are able to undertake site specific surveys
not only for the installation of new equipment but also the relocation
of existing UPS, batteries and Generators. We can offer advice on
the most suitable room layouts, distribution and most effective use
of available floor space using our in-house CAD capabilities
Load
Analysis To determine exact requirements
on existing installations it is often advisable to carry out detailed
waveform analysis and load measurements. CPS can undertake load analysis
with regularly calibrated equipment to enable UPS and generators to
be sized correctly. Load analysis can also be performed to ensure
the best distribution of single-phase loads across a three-phase system,
ensuring that the UPS or generator gives optimum performance.
Power
Factor Surveys
This type of survey can establish whether the installation of power
factor correction equipment can improve the site efficiency and reduce
input operating currents. PFC equipment can be switched either manually
or automatically and will relieve electrical strain on cabling and
existing equipment, usually resulting in significant savings in annual
electricity bills.

Input
Harmonic Analysis
Due to the various types of rectifier and power supplies installed
in buildings, the harmonic content created often reaches undesirable
levels causing over-heating and high currents, resulting in an
oversized installation. This can dramitically increase initial capital
expendature and reduce the overall system performance capabilities
and the life expectancy of sensitive components. In most cases, an
input harmonic analysis can highlight areas where filtering or 12
pulse rectification would benefit.
